Day 1 & 2

visiting.
is rich in backwaters and beaches.One who heading to kerala
from Goa or mumbai can get down to kasrgod first and enjoy
all these.Main attraction here is the Bekal fort,remains the
largest and best-preserved fort in Kerala. Next attraction is
the Valiaparamba backwaters.

Day 3
|

Transfer to Thellissery. Tellicherry a
small, picturesque,
coastal town located in North Kerala where a young German
scholar Herman Gundert from Stuttgart, landed in 1836 to
create history and forge a lasting bond with the Keralites.
During Gundert's sojourn here he started a school in 1853
which is believed to be one of the oldest schools in the country
and also wrote and published the first book on Malayalam
grammar in 1851. On returning to Germany he wrote and
published a famous piece of work; treasured by the Keralites
the first Malayalam - English dictionary.

Kozhikode, formerly called Calicut was the
traditional
capital of Northern Kerala under the Samuthiri rule. Vasco da
Gama landed at Calicut (Kappad - 16 KM from the city) in 1498,
becoming the first European to reach India by the sea route
around the southern cape of Africa. A bustling city and
commercial capital of Malabar, Calicut, has an International
Airport, University, Medical College and prestigious Indian Institute
of Management and National Institute of Technology to its credit.

Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant
city
situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the
breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed
as 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the
centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian
Sea. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to
Kerala.

Munnar - breathtakingly beautiful - a haven
of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in
God's own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki
district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile

Thekkady, is an example of nature’s bounty,
with great scenic charm, rich bio diversity and providing veritable
visitor satisfaction. Sprawled over an area of 777 Sq .km.,
Periyar is one of the 27 tiger reserves in India.‘Ela’ is short for
‘elakka’ which means cardamom and ‘thottam’ translates to the
word plantation.

Alappuzha, the Venice of the East welcomes you to the
backwaters of kerala. The Palm fringed canals and shores

This enchanting strip of golden sands is
laced with the rich greenery of coconut palms. A former fishing
village, Kovalam is just 16 km away from Thiruvanantapuram
(Trivandrum), Kerala's capital city. Kovalam is an evergreen
and pleasant climatic beach resort. It is a dreamy place for
tourists all over the world. Today Kovalam beach is known as
the "Paradise of the South". Over the hill is a beach house.
